I’ve become more and more interested in ‘natural’ beauty products as I learn more about the harmful chemicals in some mainstream beauty products. Some of these chemicals are bad not only for our skin but also for the environment either through their creation or their entry into our waterways or landfill once we’re done with them.
So when Biome Eco Stores launched a DIY skin care section of their website I was so excited. Biome is one of my favourite stores as they fit in with my values of minimising and simplifying my life and have helped me discover new brands in helping me to reduce my waste and live a more sustainable and environmentally friendly life. They have lots of great recipes on their website for zero waste, plastic-free, natural beauty products as well as selling all the ingredients you need to make them.
One recipe that particularly caught my eye was the Moisturising Rose DIY Bath Bomb. As you would know, self-care is a huge priority for me these days and taking a bath is one of the most luxurious (and easy) ways to indulge in a little bit of self-care.
