Ah neighbours. You can’t get away from having them unless you live on a massive property and only see them in passing as you drive past their massive property. But for the rest of us mere mortals we have to live with the mixed bag that is our neighbours. I’ve lived in my fair share of houses and apartments and I’ve noticed that neighbours can be broken up into five groups:…
I was once told I have ‘undiscerning taste’ in music, I prefer to think that I just like a little of almost everything. Either way, music makes me happy and I love having some new music to listen to in the car or while I’m at work, so I thought I would share with you five songs that have been making me happy lately!…
Brought to you by Nuffnang and Sunsol
I love muesli, it’s such a versatile breakfast and perfect for summer, so I thought that for today’s Friday Five I would share with you my five favourite ways to eat muesli.
The muesli I’ve been eating lately has been Sunsol 10+ Natural Muesli. I was lucky enough to be sent some delicious muesli by Sunsol to try out and I loved it! I’ve been enjoying the whole range of six different mueslis for the past month and I am so impressed….
Hooray, it’s Friday! It’s been a looong week for me, first week back at work is always hard. I’m very jealous of all you people who are still on summer holidays (or those people who don’t work!) and I’ve been missing my down time this week settling back into normal life.
Despite myself, I am kind of enjoying my summer. And we all know I am not the biggest fan of summer, but after doing my 50 things to do in summer post, I am trying to embrace the summer this year.
So my Friday Five today is all about things I am loving (strong word!) about summer….
January is always a fantastic time to go to the movies. Lots of new movies come out on Boxing Day or New Years Day, it’s a great way to relax on your holidays, and it’s also a good way to escape the heat of the Australian summer, so today for my Friday Five I’m sharing five movies to see this January!
Another mini gift guide for the Friday Five today, this time focusing on DIY Christmas gifts! Handmade gifts are so heartfelt and a lovely gesture that they are often worth 10 times a store bought gift. It’s always nice to share any special talents you may have through your gifts. It’s also a more cost-effective gift giving solution if you’re on a tight budget this year!…
For my Friday Five today I thought I would do a mini gift guide of five gorgeous beauty related presents for you to give this Christmas (or buy for yourself and keep, shhhh I won’t tell anyone!). These are all lovely and I would love to see them under the tree for me this year (hint hint)!
Plus I’ve thrown in a sneaky sixth one today so keep reading to find out my five (plus one!) beautiful gifts for Christmas….
Yesterday I shared that watching the Star Wars trilogies (both of them!) is a bit of a Christmas tradition in our house. We do actually watch Christmas movies at Christmas time as well so I thought for my Friday Five today I would give you a list of five of the best Christmas movies (well, best to me anyway).
1. Love Actually
My husband literally won’t let me watch this at any other time of the year because ‘it’s a Christmas movie’ so I relish watching this awesome movie when I can. I love the multiple story lines and the way they interrelate, the awesome cast (Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson… as if that isn’t a British actor jackpot!), and of course, the Christmassy nature of it all. Definitely a must-watch in my book.
2. Home Alone
I loved this movie growing up and I still love it. I can’t see Macauley Culkin as anything other than Kevin, I just can’t. I love the elaborate protection of the house that Kevin does. It may have had me a bit obsessed with setting booby traps growing up….
I love red lipstick, it’s a great way to feel more polished with very little effort. It’s also good for Monday mornings when you’re tired and want to have the focus anywhere but your eyes. For my Friday Five today I thought I would share with you five of the best red lipsticks (according to me).
My sleep pattern has been terrible since we got home from Europe and I have been pushing my bed time back later and later. This week it finally caught up with me! I’ve been sleepy, I haven’t been able to focus at work, I struggle to get out of the bed in the mornings and I don’t wake up feeling refreshed. I need a good nights sleep to function properly so this week I have been working on my sleep to I can get back to my normal, well-rested self. So today for my Friday Five I thought I would share with you five tips for a good night’s sleep….
