Well, it’s been quite a while between posts hasn’t it?!
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that my life has been full of big changes lately. I turned 30 at the end of August; Grace turned 2 at the start of September; I went to Fiji with my family; I started a new job and I moved to a new house!
The old house hasn’t sold yet, we’re still waiting for it to sell, but I didn’t want the stress of trying to find a suitable rental property during the settlement period so I bit the bullet so to speak and found somewhere after the house had been on the market for a month. It’s a bit of a gamble but I’m feeling so much better since moving and being able to set up a new home with Grace.
It’s actually incredibly cathartic (and quite exhausting) moving and setting up a new home how I want it and being able to get rid of things that I no longer want or need. It feels nice having complete control over my home space and being able to do what I like with it.
I’m still in the Canberra region, but in a slightly different area so I’m now getting to know my new neighbourhood but I am much closer to everything in Canberra so expect to be seeing more Canberra events and highlights around these parts.
While I was in a transition period between houses I felt thoroughly disorganised and relied on buying lunch a lot more than I would like due to not being able to do as much meal prepping and planning as I would normally do. Now that I’m getting settled into my new house (and have almost finished all the unpacking) I am looking forward to getting back into my meal planning.
I’m also looking forward to getting back into my blog!! I have really missed working on my blog but with the time I was spending sorting out things around the house, packing, unpacking, starting a new job (not to mention getting divorce papers sorted!) I just didn’t have the time to dedicate to it. But I’m almost settled and really excited about getting some more posts up here very, very soon!
